In the 1960’s tremendous changes were occurring in many aspects of American life. Many minority groups were fighting for equality in America and for their voices to be heard. These groups included Women, Native Americans, Latino Americans, Americans with disabilities, and the LBGT community. There have been many efforts on their part to improve the conditions in which they live and to challenge the status quo. Their struggle didn’t begin in the 1960’s, it’s been a long journey that’s continued throughout U.S History.
